Not Perfect, but a Good Buy

Summary

Unfortunately, the rear end of the car is not quite so graceful. The smart lines of the front dissolve as they hit the car's massive trunk. Of course, some people like the whole "junk in the trunk" thing, but not even practicality can fully explain this design decision. While the SX4 Sport does boast an enormous trunk (15.5 cubic feet -- think a set of golf clubs per seat), the rear seats do not fold down. Unless you want to invest in a roof rack, this is not the car to take on a ski trip.

The car's height also means plenty of headroom for even tall passengers (unlike my nearly 5-foot-7 self). Both front- and back-seat passengers have plenty of legroom, and the car comfortably seats four and reasonably seats five. Combine this with respectable fuel economy (9.5 litres per 100 kilometres in the city; 6.8 L/100 km on the highway for the Sport) and expansive trunk space and you're ready for a group road trip.

Standard features: Power windows, mirrors and door locks, remote keyless entry, air conditioning, AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA player, speed-sensing volume control, XM satellite radio ready, information display (clock, outside temperature, fuel consumption and range), tilt steering, sun visor with vanity mirrors, day/night rear-view mirror, reclining front seats, variable intermittent wipers, remote trunk release, body-coloured bumpers, body-coloured mirrors and door handles, tinted glass, engine block heater, dual front air bags, front seat-mounted side air bags, side-curtain air bags, engine immobilizer
