Palladium miner resumes milling after tailings discharge.

North American Palladium (NAP) announced water levels at its Lac des lies (LDI) tailings facility, near Thunder Bay, are now restored to normal levels following the release of tailings water into the environment.

The Ministry of Environment permitted the company to discharge water following a tailings pond sinkhole in early June.

NAP said it received a dam safety report from an independent engineering consulting firm that reconfirmed the integrity of the containment structures at the tailings facility and that water balance levels have been restored to within permitted operating levels. After consulting with the province, the company said it's in compliance with all criteria required to restart milling operations on June 26.
