ROSEAU River First Nation will hold a celebration instead of a blockade beside the CN rail line that runs through southern Manitoba into the United States, after Ottawa turned over 30 hectares of land to settle an old claim.
He is inviting senior officials from Indian and Northern Affairs to the Roseau rail line gathering along with Manitoba Métis Senator Gerry St. Germain. The Conservative is acting as unofficial ambassador between the Harper Government and aboriginal leaders on land claims.St. Germain said he already plans to be in Manitoba June 29.
