"This is one of the nicest properties in Petersfield on the water," he says. "First of all, it's got 220 feet of lineal beach. They own the beach. A lot of people in Petersfield don't own the beach, but they do. The other thing that I find really attractive is that it's got a concrete driveway. I think that's really important.

"It is probably about 150 feet long and the beautiful part of it is the perennials, the beautiful delphiniums, and how the garden cycles," she says. "For the first part, it will be all purple and then suddenly it will be all white, and then the melon colours come in. So, it is really colour-co-ordinated and it's imaginative and special to see all the phases that it comes into."

"They moved it and skidded it down the ice, and you'll notice it has one dormer on it at that time," says [JOYCE Milgaard], looking at some black-and-white photos of the early structure. "And they used it as a hunting and fishing lodge, and it seemed to get bigger because they put an additional dormer on it because they were so busy and needed more room."
