The comparison doesn't go very far. Al-Fahim's flagship development project, an upscale community of 2,500 luxury villas known as Dubai's Hydra Village, was supposed to have been completed by December. Financing delays hampered construction, however, and the work ground to a halt before it even began.

In a season so far defined by manager meltdowns, suspensions and supporter fury, Scottish champions Glasgow Rangers have turned their bid for a repeat into a blooper reel for the ages.
