A music industry insider told the Page Six: "[Sting] worked on (drummer) Stewart (Copeland) and (guitarist) Andy (Summers) for six months trying to get them to agree to tour. They didn't really want to at first. It's not like they need the money. They're set for life off of the royalties alone.
According to Page Six, Sting sweetened the deal by assuring Copeland and Summers they could select the tour's set list, and share equally in profits -- whereas Sting was always given a higher percentage in the past, because he's the frontman and, well, Sting."It was hideous," one music exec told Page Six.
