These dudes are pariahs of the highest order and the music on ARLTA sounds as if it sprang out of some discordant heap of dung festering in an East Vancouver alley. And it rocks. It takes about 30 seconds into opening track Wake Up for the power trio to break into a trademark impossible rhythm that sounds as if the boys were recorded falling down five flights of concrete stairs while playing. So Low is a hatchet-burying attempt at a pop song, the fire-breathing vocals on Ashes are evilly appropriate and the lyrics to Mondo Nihilissimo 2000 will make you cringe. More, please. ''''1/2
