The Second Session of the Sixty-third General Assembly adjourned to the call of the Speaker on December 3, 2008, after 13 sitting days. It was announced on January 30, 2009, that the House will re-convene on April 2, with a continuation of the Second Session which opened last April. The announcement marks the first time that a parliamentary calendar has been invoked to decide the opening day of the spring sitting.
