MINNEDOSA - Husky Energy's ethanol plant in Minnedosa opened its doors for the first time to the public Tuesday afternoon to honour the town's 125 celebrations and give the community a glimpse into what goes on behind the plant's metal gates. The plant receives 50 to 60 loads of wheat and corn per day and ships about 15 loads of DDGS - dried feed supplement obtained during production that is a source of protein for cattle, poultry and hog operations - and 12 loads of ethanol to be processed in Winnipeg.
