WESTWOOD OFFICIAL: He had agreed to terms two weeks ago, but the Bombers made the return of kicker Troy Westwood official on Friday. Westwood, who turns 40 next month, will be back for a 17th season this year after signing a new contract. The Bombers' all-time leading scorer connected on 74.4 per cent of his field goals (excluding two fakes) and finished with 137 points. His 42.9-yard punting average was fifth-best in the CFL, but it's expected he'll be challenged by American punters -- yet to be signed -- when training camp opens in June.

"I'm not in a hurry to do anything with this right now," said [Brendan Taman] "To be honest, we might not do anything until after the NFL draft (April 28-29). There are a lot of available guys but I'm not going to knee-jerk it just because we need to sign somebody. I don't want to get nailed down on this... if we sign [Brad Banks], then there is our No. 1 and 2 quarterbacks with him and [Kevin Glenn].
