The Recycle My Cell program combines existing cell phone recycling programs under a new banner and website, and includes more than 100 free drop-off spots where Manitobans can take their old cell phones for refurbishing or recycling.
The program shows that going green "doesn't have to be complicated, and doesn't have to be costly," said Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA) president and former New Brunswick premier Bernard Lord.Manitobans can find the nearest drop-off location by plugging their postal code into a form on www.recyclemycell.ca. If there aren't depots nearby, users can print off a free pre-paid label to mail in their phones for recycling.Recycle That Old Cellphone
