Q:I'm dating a really nice woman and am quite happy, but now I face a dilemma. She recently told me she loves me. I feel like she'll be disappointed if I don't tell her that I love her, too. Except I don't. I might someday, but now I don't. I'm thinking of telling her I love what we have. Is this a good idea?

[STEVE]: How about, "I love how we are together." Or, "I love how you look." Or, "I love being with you." Or, the all-time favourite, "I love our sex life." I'll defer to Mia on this, but I think women see through this thin veneer pretty quickly.
