Echochrome is available via the PlayStation 3 store for just $9.99 for either the PS3 or PSP version. That's incredible value for a title you'll find yourself drawn to repeatedly, whether it's for a challenge or just to blow off some steam.

Part of the reason echochrome works so well is its simplicity. You're required to guide your mannequin through these puzzles within a certain time, but you never feel that pressure, even when there are just seconds left on the clock. That's because instead of a countdown timer or rapidly escalating rock music we hear soothing violin music, which works very well with the pure white backdrop. And so while the game is challenging, it's also great stress relief in five- or 10-minute blocks of gameplay, making it great for the handheld PSP as well.
