Upon reading the Sun's report, Tacan was "surprised" to learn that Sioux Valley's ATR bid on that property was still active, and decided to send a letter to the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada to inform the government that the band had decided to end the ATR process. Discussions about the future of the property as an affordable housing site are still in the preliminary discussion stages, and Tacan says the community needs to have a discussion on how to make the plan work.
