[Tran] was due to appear in a Winnipeg courtroom this afternoon to answer to the charge. Tran is also facing two other aggravated assault charges, one stemming from a recent incident where he allegedly stabbed the same person for the second time since June.

The victim also confirmed that Tran allegedly attacked him previously on June 8 -- an incident that he had already been charged in connection with, but remained at large. Police arrested Tran on Oct. 5, Const. Jason Michalyshen said. He's been in custody since then.
