St. Boniface hospital is the home of Manitoba's Cardiac Sciences Program and the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences.
The cardiac sciences program brings together in one institute cardiology, cardiac surgery, cardiac imaging, cardiac anesthesia and cardiac intensive care. Unlike other cardiac care facilities which usually work independently, in Manitoba, cardiologist, cardiac imager, cardiac anesthesiologist, cardiac surgeon and cardiac intensivist all work in the same department, which improves communication.Today the Centre is home to the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, Division of Neurodegenerative Disorders and Canadian Centre for Agri-Food Research in Health and Medicine.See the full content of this document
