Shopping carts with locking wheels once they're beyond supermarket parking lots also don't have 100 per cent anti-theft success, said [Mary Vermeer].

His Speedy Cart Services has been around since 1980. Five to eight years ago, [Brian Reid] said, he was worried his company wouldn't survive due to enhanced security on carts like locking brakes. But he said business is as brisk today as it's ever been.
