Strachan and his Hamiota-based squad of third Dale Brooks, second Tim Weber and lead Jim Strath of Souris claimed the provincial senior men's curling championship last season, earning the first buffalo for each of the team members, all longtime competitors in the men's division before coming together as a foursome for the first time in Strachan's first year of senior eligibility.
