Kent Trusses in Sunridge shut down in August.

The community is a 40-minute drive south of North Bay and has a population of about 1,000.

According to BayToday.com, an email from the company general manager Chuck Melanson said: "We are experiencing a temporary production shutdown and will have an update for customers no later than Monday, Aug. 29."

The company is the largest employer in the town of 1,000, 40 minutes south of North Bay.

All calls have been directed to voicemail.

Mayor Lyle Hall heard the rumours but has received nothing official from the company. However, the Central Almaguin Economic Development Association has been working with Kent on a business retention plan trying to help them out with a few of their problems.
