There's the new police station at 10th Street and Victoria Avenue, the new fire hall at 18th Street North and Maple Avenue, the new aquatics facility at the YMCA, the cleanup of contaminated soil at First Street and Rosser Avenue and the implementation of the first phase of the city's recreational facilities master plan. With these projects now set to take place within the next couple of years (not to mention a massive wastewater treatment facility upgrade, which will be financed by large water-rate hikes) Brandon is facing a situation where it is making multiple investments for the future all in a very short time frame.
