"We want businesses to see Manitoba as a place where they can compete internationally," [Dave Angus] said in an interview. "We want to grow our population and our economy but our quality of life will be hurt if we can't."
"The assumption with tax cuts is the CEO is going to put (the savings) in his pocket but that's not the case. We know we lag behind in job creation in Manitoba. The solution is to allow Manitoba businesses to keep more revenue so they can reinvest," he said, noting the increased wages will then be recycled through the economy as the employees buy more goods and services."We want people to feel good about the province," [Greg Selinger] said.
