Some 30 offences would no longer be eligible for conditional sentencing, including robbery, possessing dangerous weapons, home invasion, drug trafficking and kidnapping, [Stephen Harper] said in Saskatoon.

Liberal Leader Stphane Dion condemned the Conservatives for pursuing "film censorship" while promising more money, more fun and lots of creative freedom for arts and culture if his party wins the election.

"With a Liberal government, Canada will have more movies, more novels, more theatres and more music," Dion said during a campaign swing through B.C.
