"I'm very excited, it's been a dream of mine to get an opportunity to coach at the CIS level," said Scott, a native of Warren who has been a teacher and coach at Lord Selkirk for six years. He taught and coached in Norway House and Glenboro previously. "I'm thrilled to get this chance and I'm grateful to all the coaches here at the high school, university and national level who have mentored me along the way."

It was a big day for the Selkirk boys 16-and-under boys volleyball team which won their 16U tier I boys age class provincial championship title on Saturday in Lord Selkirk Regional School by defeating WinMan Blue 26-24. 25-23. The MVP was Jeff Seekings of Selkirk while the all-star team included Devyn Plett and Evan Jackson from WinMan Blue, Nathaniel Therrien of WinMan Grey, Jordan Thompson of Dakota, Stephan Dirks of Bisons Gold, [Selkirk]'s Chad Leskiw. Selkirk advances to the Western Canadian Championship in Calgary, May 16-19.
