"Bill Young is a chemistry teacher here, he does the lights. We have two teachers that do makeup," said [Anita Skene]. "We started an adopt-an-actor program -- (each teacher) volunteers to sew one costume."

"We built an entire ship, a cruise line on stage' for Anything Goes, said Skene. [Dennis Cape] built a rotating stage that was alternately a ship, a tavern, and the shore for Treasure Island. "He made a wooden stove for I Remember Mama," she said.

"It's very seductive, because every show has problems in it, and I have to wrestle with how the heck we're going to do this," Cape said. "Half the time (the students) come up with an idea that's far better than anything I have."
