"I didn't quite know how to say things so people could understand and I didn't quite fit in," she said. "I really felt like an outsider."

"These kids are bright enough to know they're failing socially and they're outcasts, but they really, really want to have friends," she said.

"We all have different abilities, not disabilities, because we do things differently than other people," she said. "It's not a curse."
