11Police have long complained that without the co-operation of ISPs, finding such websites or tracking the website's owner or manager can be frustratingly hard. Internet service providers have data on the customers that use space on ISP servers for their websites. Unlike in the United States, Canada has no law that forces ISPs to store customer information or report child porn they come across. Anti-porn advocates say that crucial data on web owners is sometimes destroyed, thwarting investigations while children are being abused.
