Needless to say, the RCMP now have some explaining to do. Why did they Taser [Robert Dziekanski] in the first place? Why did they do it more than once, when it was clear he was down after the first shock? Why didn't they get him medical attention immediately?

In 2005, mill worker Ian Bush was shot to death while in RCMP custody in Houston, B.C. The officer involved claimed he was forced to discharge his gun when Bush became violent and pinned the officer face down on a couch. This past summer, an Edmonton Police blood splatter expert revealed the police officer's account was impossible. According to the expert, Bush had been shot in the back of the head while he was face down on the couch.

Before the good men and women in law enforcement believe it's all about them, the problem is not the cops. It's dishonesty and the failure to stand up and tell the truth is not limited to one profession or sector of the economy.
