Qualifying for the nationals were Caley Miskimmin in the women's 60m race with a silver (7.67 seconds), pole vaulter Scot Dresslar with a silver-medal leap of 4.37m, Kja Isaacson with silver in the women's 600m (1:35.34) and the women's 4x800 relay team, (silver, 9:17.26) which joined both men's and women's 4x200 and 4x400 that previously qualified. On Friday, runner Georgette Mink earned one of Manitoba's two gold medals of the weekend with a first-place finish in the women's 3,000m (10:05.66) while Nathan Labbe, named the Canada West rookie of the year, won gold in men's long jump with a distance of 7.26 metres. David Szczepaniak took silver in the men's 300m (34.94) while Kristjan Hunter earned silver (2:28.09) in the men's 1,000m. All four qualified for the nationals.University Roundup
