[Leonard Delorme] then grabbed a kitchen knife and began threatening to stab the man, who had been on a two-day cocaine binge and was not in a position to defend himself, said Crown attorney Sheila Leinburd.

Delorme has a lengthy criminal record which he blames on a chronic drug and alcohol addiction. Leinburd said he "hasn't worked a day in his life" and doesn't seem to be a good candidate to turn his life around.
