'Virtual Advisory Panel' to Be Asked for Their Reactions to Federal Budget

Our inaugural, weeklong survey, conducted from Feb. 14 to 21 and reported here today, sought Insider opinion on big, top-of-mind public issues torn from the headlines. It also asked the panel what they think of a new 'community photo gallery' idea we're contemplating for our website, winnipegfreepress.com.

Unlike traditional, telephone surveys, which use much smaller, one-time population samples, Vision Critical's Panel+ product allowed the Free Press to recruit and interact with a dedicated group of people to provide their opinions, feedback and advice online. The Insiders advisory panel will be consulted on an ongoing basis to seek opinion on public affairs, help guide innovation in the newspaper and its websites, and gather valuable information for our advertisers.

"The Insiders panel should provide us with an excellent tool to measure customer satisfaction, conduct product testing and foster reader interaction," [Dean Lytle] says.
