Canadian Red Cross Society is looking for a public affairs person specializing in disaster management. Duties will include writing, editing and producing a two-page bi-monthly newsletter for its disaster management program; acting as public affairs volunteer responding to public and media requests in times of disaster response (i.e., ice jams, forest fires, etc.); assisting with co-ordination, preparation and release of regular media updates. Lung Association Manitoba is holding its annual Tulip Campaign and needs drivers Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 23 to 25 (various shifts available) to pick up orders from the warehouse and deliver them to businesses and organizations around the city. As well, the organization requires volunteers to wrap and box tulip orders at Petals West, 975 Sherwin Rd., Feb. 22, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers are also needed to staff displays at various locations throughout the city from Feb. 26 to March 8 (various shifts available) to sell tulips to customers.
