"We know that there are predators out there on the Internet and other places who want to exploit our children in the most frightful ways, leaving scars that, for many, last a life time," [Stockwell Day] said. "We can prevent that. We can provide prevention and also the education and also the enforcement to make sure these crimes are reduced."

The tip line started in Manitoba with Child Find Manitoba in 2002 and went national in 2004. Child Find Manitoba became the Canadian Centre for Child Protection in 2006.
