Workers Compensation Board chair Tom Farrell said WCB also has a pilot project going with construction companies who make an extra effort to implement safety and health programs. If those programs are certified by the WCB, the companies can get a reduced WCB rate, saving it money, said Farrell.
WCB is also hiring two graduates from the Red River College safety and health program, who will visit construction sites, identify potential areas for improvement and offer suggestions for how companies can make those improvements, said Farrell.See the full content of this document
