There's more to it. [Karen Davis] cajoled, promoted and raised $66,000 for the program -- TD Bank most recently donated $17,000. Davis went down to Nashville because, as an aboriginal woman, she's crazy about Jordin Tootoo of hockey's Nashville Predators, but also to meet with Dolly Parton's program managers to start the program.

At the time, Davis said her goal was to put a Dolly Parton Imagination Library into all 64 First Nations in Manitoba. Here's an update. Ebb & Flow First Nation kicked off its Imagination Library Oct. 14. Rolling River, Fairford, Gamblers, Keeseekoowenin and Pine Creek First Nations are supposed to launch their programs by Feb. 29 next year.
