Last season, the Wheat Kings came out of the break with a 2-1 loss to the Pats and went just 2-3-0-0 in the five games before Schenn, Glennie and Brodie Melnychuk returned from the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and posted a 8-9-1-1 record while Clark was out, dropping from the second seed in the Eastern Conference down to eighth. Just like the rest of his team, Wheat Kings left-winger Del Cowan is trying to keep up some momentum from before the break after scoring four goals in his last six games.Cowan said the players had to perform a balancing act over the break, keeping in shape while still taking the time they need to recover from the bumps and bruises of the first half.
