White Collar Brings the Cool to Fall Prime-Time Tv Lineup

Summary

Matt Bomer (last seen as Chuck's rival/mentor Bryce Larkin) plays rogue-ish criminal genius Neal Caffray, who's just pulled off a daring broad-daylight prison escape after serving all most all of his sentence for grand larceny. Tim DeKay (Tell Me You Love Me) portrays FBI uber-agent Peter Burke, the only guy ever to capture Caffray, and the fed who quickly figures out what prompted the escape (a broken romance) and where the on-the-lam loverboy is likely to be found (his ex-girlfriend's now-abandoned apartment).

Recapturing Caffray proves to be a pretty simple matter; putting him back behind bars is a bit more complicated. Hoping to avoid a lengthy added sentence, Neal offers a proposal -- if he's able to use his criminal insights to help Peter capture an elusive forger/con artist known as the Dutchman, he'll be granted freedom.

Neal's none too thrilled, and says so. Peter, a hard-working cop with blue-collar values, tells Neal to quit whining; if he can find better accommodations for the $700 a month the bureau is willing to pay for rent, he's welcome to upgrade.
