That got me thinking. If [Doug Speirs] can't get to Winnipeg, why not bring Winnipeg to Doug? Armed with a phalanx of photographers, I hit the pavement, looking for local points of interest Doug might visit if he had full use of his limbs. I then asked the Freep's graphics wizards to transport Doug to my chosen locales through the magic of Photoshop. But instead of presenting the doctored photos to Doug in the form of a snappy Get Well card -- as was my original intention -- I thought, "Why not turn 'er into a contest for Doug's large legion of fans?"
