Wonderfully Peculiar Novel Bodes Well for Sequels

Summary

"I'VE looked at clouds from both sides now," sang Joni Mitchell, "from up and down but still somehow, it's clouds' illusions I recall. I really don't know clouds at all."

The Protocol contains a few photos of clouds, and thousands of women's formerly private parts. Mercifully, Audeguy never makes the connection between these separate obsessions entirely clear. It remains, you might say, clouded.

It's praise enough to say that this book makes the next two worth anticipating in the hope that they will continue Audeguy's effort to address the main issue from Joni Mitchell's song: "I really don't know life at all."
