Summary
The choreographer says he has fallen in love with our legislature, and wanted to create a site-specific "intuitive and sensual response to the building." The meditative performance there will include dancers in translucent costumes portraying "early lifeforms," as well as "men who will be more formally dressed, lifting and carrying these beings."
Ballet, contemporary dance and powwow dance are, of course, vastly different traditions. "But at a certain level they all come together," says [Bill Coleman].
