"He was close to the family," said his mother, Irene Prysiazniuk. "We're living in his house right now because he was doing our house. We loved him...we thought he was cool. He was a great guy, of course he's going to be missed."

"We thought maybe he'd come out (of the coma). Maybe, maybe, maybe...but he didn't," she said. "He was a wonderful child. We'll always remember him."

"I'm waiting, because I want to know what happened," Irene said. She and her husband John have set up a memorial at the site of their son's death.
