"It's always tough to ship," [Charles Smith] said. "Some horses handle it better than others, but this colt really does ship well."

"He has a real nice stride, and he travels really easily," said Smith. "He looks like he's gliding when he hits his stride."

"It may be a hair long," Smith said. "He's already won at a mile, 1 1/16 miles is no problem. We've never gone 1 1/8 miles, but most of the horses in this race have never ran that distance either."
