2000: vLex was founded in Barcelona, with an initial focus on serving the legal market in Spain.
2005: vLex expanded its presence in Latin America and opened international offices.
2011: The company received VC funding to further develop its technology and expand its reach.
2017: The company introduced vLex Analytics with Court and Judge Analytics for Spain, and predictive analytics for some legal motions.
2018: vLex introduced Vincent AI, an award-winning, AI-powered assistant that helps legal professionals quickly find and extract key information from legal documents.
2019: vLex acquired Justis Publishing, which expanded the company’s library of cases and statutes, adding coverage for the UK, Ireland, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
2020: The company introduced vLex Cloud, a new service that allows legal professionals to integrate the vLex library with their own content by connecting their document management systems such as OneDrive, Dropbox, or Sharepoint.
2022: Oakley Capital made a private equity investment to accelerate the global growth of the company.
2023: vLex and Fastcase merge to create the world’s largest online law library.
