ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Robert Mullin is a knowledge leader in Ontar io’s condominium law. He

frequently writes, publishes, and speaks on the subject th roughout the

province. He regularly works with developers, propert y management

firms, and condominium boards to navigate the incre asingly complex

condominium legal landscape. Rober t has testified as a legal expert be-

fore Ontario’s Land Tribunal and has ser ved as a rare court appointed

condominiu m admi nistrator.

Robert routinely provides complicated legal opinions to condomin-

iums, often faced with challenging circumst ances. He provides advice

and direction on declaratory, by-law, and rule amendments. Robert is

active in the enforcement and lien collection procedures, as found in the

Condominium Act, 1998. Robert has worked on hundreds of condomin-

ium developments, assisting builders br inging concept to registrat ion.

Robert has ser ved as an instr uctor of condominium law at Conestoga

College, teaching future property m anagers.

Robert is an active member of the Canadian Condominium Insti-

tute. In 2009, he was elected President of the Golden Horseshoe Chapter

and now is a Past-President. Robert was proud to serve on the founding

Board for the Grand River Chapter, which won the Lorne Young award

in 2018. Robert holds the coveted designation of Associate of the Can-

adian Condominium Institute (“ACCI”), demonstrating peer evaluated

and tested expert ise in condominium law.

Robert has also enjoyed an extensive municipal law practice. Rob-
