ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Barbara von Tigerstrom is a profess or in the College of Law, Univer-

sity of Saskatchewan, where she has been a f aculty member since 2005.

She holds a PhD in law from the University of Cambridge, and previ-

ously worked at the Supreme Court of Canada, the University of Alberta,

and the University of Canterbury. Her main areas of teaching and

research are information and privacy law, health law, and tort law. She

has received several award s for excellence in teaching and research,

including the Canadi an Associat ion of Law Teachers Prize for Aca-

demic Excellence and the University of Saskatchewa n Students’ Union

Teaching Excellence Award.
