A member of the Ontario and New Brunswick Bars, Nathan Gorham regularly acts

as counsel in drug-related trials and appeals. He has appeared on cases involving drug

oences before all levels of court in Ontario and New Brunswick as well as the

Supreme Court of Canada.

Nathan was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004 after graduating from the Queen’s

University, Faculty of Law with the highest overall standing in criminal law courses.

He practised with Pinkofskys Criminal Trial and Appeal lawyers from 2004 until

2010, when he helped found Rusonik, O’Connor, Robbins, Ross, Gorham & Angelini

LLP. Nathan has a doctorate of juridical science as well as a master of laws degree,

both from the University of Toronto. In 2019, Nathan founded the law firm Gorham

Vandebeek with his partner, and co-author of this book, Breana Vandebeek.

Nathan is also a part-time professor at the University of New Brunswick, Faculty

of Law. His writing has been published in peer-reviewed journals as well as national

newspapers. He regularly speaks at academic and professional conferences.

Jeremy Streeter obtained his bachelor of laws from the University of Toronto in

2003. After his call to the bar in 2004, he worked as Crown counsel at the Depart-

ment of Justice/Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC). In 2008, Jeremy

became a member of the Anti-Organized Crime team, becoming a team leader in

2018. In 2022, Jeremy joined the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, Crown

Law Oce—Criminal, where he conducts appeals and provides legal advice on wire-

taps, search and seizure, and privilege issues.

Jeremy has prosecuted criminal cases at all levels of court in Canada, including

numerous appearances at the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has prosecuted a number of

large-scale wiretap cases focusing on a variety of local, national, and international or-

ganized crime groups engaged in high-level drug importation and tracking. As senior

counsel at PPSC, Jeremy provided frequent advice to police on issues related to search

and seizure, digital evidence, wiretapping, and privilege. As a wiretap agent, Jeremy

has brought forward numerous applications to intercept private communications in

order to assist in the investigation of organized crime groups and drug trackers.

Jeremy lectures frequently to lawyers and law enforcement ocers on issues of

search and seizure, digital evidence, privilege, and wiretapping.
