About the General Editors

Brian H Greenspan, BA, LLB, LLM, is one of the most prominent and well-regarded

defence lawyers in Canada and is the founding partner of Greenspan Humphrey Wein-

stein. Brian has been recognized by his peers in The International Who’s Who of Busi-

ness Crime Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in Canada, and Chambers Canada. He has been

named three times as one of the 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada by Canadian

Lawyer Magazine on multiple occasions. He received the G Arthur Martin Medal for

contributions to criminal justice in Canada in 2010 and an honorary doctorate from

the Law Society of Ontario in 2012. He is a past president of the Criminal Lawyers’

Association (Ontario) and the founding chair of the Canadian Council of Criminal

Defence Lawyers.

Justice Vincenzo Rondinelli, BA, LLB, LLM, is a judge of the Ontario Court of Jus-

tice. Before being appointed to the bench in 2017, he was a criminal defence lawyer in

Toronto, where he argued appeals regularly before the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Justice Rondinelli joined the adjunct faculty at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2003, and

in 2010 he received the school’s Teaching Award for Adjunct Faculty. He was awarded

the inaugural Ontario Bar Association Award of Excellence in Criminal Justice in 2017.
