Abstract: This article presents an empirical analysis of the

decisions made by Ont ario courts regarding the compensat ion

of class counsel. The authors ai m to provide an analytical tool

that can be us ed as a guide for predicting and determini ng fee

approvals in the future. The authors make the analysis more

concrete by applying their empir ical methodology to f‌ive cur-

rently ongoing class act ions.
