Guests who call Comfort Inn their home away from home will see a fresh, new updated look this fall at the hotel chain's northeastern Ontario properties.

Extensive renovations have wrapped up at four of its busiest hotels in Timmins, Kirkland Lake and its two locations in Sudbury.

"The renovations are done and we're excited to welcome back everybody to see all the changes," said Maija Holla. Westmont Hospitality Group's regional director of sales.

With investments of about $750.000 at each property, the renovations are part of a company-wide effort by Comfort Inn's parent company, Choice Hotels, to rebrand their locations with a stunning new look that's also warm and cozy and welcoming to their guests.

Other scheduled renovations in Northern Ontario are coming up next year in Sault Ste. Marie, North Bay, Pembroke, Thunder Bay, Dryden, Kenora and Kapuskasing.

Comfort Inn's new brand design features a refreshing colour palette, more personalized guest amenities and new design elements.

All of the guest rooms have been completely redone with new carpets, sofas, lounge chairs, new beds. flat-screen televisions and a brand new warm and cozy linen package. Granite finishes have been applied to work tables and vanities. The bathrooms have new faucets, mirrors, vanity lighting and floor tiles. "The rooms look great and the positive feedback is awesome. Our guests are really enjoying the high end finishes and warm color palette," said Holla. All of the guest rooms are now 100% non-smoking and they have added king executive and double queen room types. "We take guest feedback seriously and wanted to ensure this renovation exceeded the expectation of our loyal guests."

All common spaces including the exterior have a fresh new look and they have remodeled the front desk and lobby area with granite and modern dark wood finishes. a large comfy sitting area with a fireplace and a new complimentary business centre.

Probably the most exciting change is the new modern breakfast lounge area and full hot breakfast. Two guest rooms were removed to make space for the new breakfast pantry and sitting area. The Complimentary Morning Breakfast includes eggs, bacon or sausage, breads, fresh fruit, cereals, waffles, yogurt. juice, coffee and assorted teas.
