CONSTRUCTION LAW

Construction law concerns the law as it relates to the various issues surrounding the design

and construction of buildings. This is often a complicated area of litigation in that it frequently

involves numerous contractors and sub-contractors, etc. For the most part, this is a subject

informed by provincial law. There are numerous provincial builders’ or construction liens

statutes that provide some statutory protections for builders and dictate the manner in which

remedies may be sought.
