DIVORCE
This particular subset of family law is entirely within federal jurisdiction and is governed by
the Divorce Act, which details the specif‌ic process for the dissolution of a marriage. Despite
divorce being a federal matter, much of the fall-out from divorce lands in the provincial realm
(e.g., the division of marital assets, etc.). Related topics: CHILDREN AND THE LAW, FAMILY
LAW.
DIVORCE
